Why Our Apartments Are Ideal for the Biennale
The Venice Biennale Arte takes place across two main venues: the Arsenale and the Giardini. Both are in the Castello sestiere — the same neighbourhood as our apartments. This is not a coincidence; when we chose these properties, proximity to the cultural heart of Venice was a deliberate priority.
Venue 1
The Arsenale
Venice's historic shipyard, transformed into the Biennale's largest exhibition space. Massive industrial halls housing major international installations and national pavilions.
10 min walk from both apartments
Venue 2
The Giardini
The historic public gardens housing the permanent national pavilions — including the French, German, British, US and Italian pavilions. The most photographed part of the Biennale.
12 min walk from both apartments
About the 2026 Edition
The 61st International Art Exhibition is titled In Minor Keys, curated by Koyo Kouoh. This edition brings together 111 participants — artists, duos, collectives, and organisations — from a wide range of geographical and cultural contexts, making it one of the most internationally diverse editions in the Biennale's history.
The Castello neighbourhood during Biennale season has a particular energy — conversations in the streets, early-morning queues at the pavilions, impromptu encounters at neighbourhood bacari. Staying in a private apartment rather than a hotel gives you full immersion in this world.
Booking for the Biennale — What You Need to Know
- Vernissage weeks book first and fastest. If you are attending press days or the professional preview, book as soon as possible. These dates typically fill 3–6 months in advance.
- Direct booking guests get priority access. We release vernissage-week dates on our direct channel two weeks before they appear on Airbnb and Booking.com. Book direct to access these first.
- Minimum stays apply during peak Biennale weeks. Vernissage weeks typically require a 3-night minimum. Regular Biennale season is flexible.
- Both Venice apartments can be booked simultaneously for a delegation or group — contact us by WhatsApp if you need both properties for the same dates.
